From our family to yours our deepest sympathy and condolences on the passing of dear Pareng Leo, a loving, dedicated husband, dad, grandpa, brother, friend and more to many.    We've been long  time family friends with our dear Mareng Cora Torres then from Tandang Sora Elementary School, Caloocan City.    Met him before their wedding and been together here in California since Nov. 1974.    We had many occasions of birthdays, Thanksgiving , Christmas and many more celebrations of love and friendship.    We will miss you so much!!!

My friend Leo,
 We’ve known you since the early 70’s when we were neighbors in San Diego and  we’ve been friends since then . We’ve never lost contact in spite of our different relocations by the military . Our family friendship went deeper when My son , Alvin got married in Korea  in which Cora and Lynn managed to attend . Alvin was so fond  of you that they named  their first born  Leo . Then my other son Chris decided to live in Vegas . You treated him as your own son . I felt so relieved  leaving him in Vegas cause I know  you were there . 
  I’ve lost your friend (my husband )  suddenly  17 years ago  and now I lost my best friend so suddenly as well . But I know you will be together with our Almighty . 
I never realized that when you came with Cora to bring us food on October 5, 2021 , you came to say goodbye . 
 I missed your  infectious smile , my friend , your positive outlook in life and our  occasional Makino “ get together . It’s been fun being with you especially during our Canada trip . I will forever treasure them all . 

Saturday, 10/16/21; Three days before
our dear Brother in law Leopoldo R. Castro went  home with the Holy Father, we visited for a short but blissful Family
bonding . As usual His sweet smile and 
warm hug welcome us. 
Kuya Leo, your kind, loving caring & joyful personality will always be in our hearts.
Jason is grateful for coming & cheering him on his baseball game (9/5/21) We sorely missed You especially our foursome Eating out and travel together.

It's very sad that Pareng Leo is not with us anymore.  Life is fragile . You are here now and then suddenly your gone. This exactly happened to our friendship with Pareng Leo and Mareng Cora. On or about the first week of October 2021.  We're visiting my daughter in Las Vegas and we communicated this to them   They come in,. We had a long "balitaan" full of laughters,  updating our retired life. Reminiscing our freindship, back the days when we are still in active duty in the US Navy. He elected me to be his son (Lary) compadre , a very cherish moment in my life. We shared an apartment for we are just a newly wed. After our hitch in Guam the Navy sent us in our own destiny.  Again the Good Lord made happened to bring our family togheter in San Diego.  Although we had a separate jobs but we never lost communication until our retirement in the Navy and the US Federal Government .
He moved to Oakhill, Hesperia and I stayed in San Diego. From time to time when I visited Las Vegas I made a commitment to stopped by to say hello.
As the day in October the last time we had a good talk I invited my friends to come back on Saturday October 23 on my grandson 4th birthday and said yes which also co- inside to Leo's High School reunion in Las Vegas. This last getogheter plan now is gone. I knew that if it happen will have a good time again visiting and having a banquet, a seafood buffet that I already check out because they served crispy "Litson", in one of the casinos. Now that is gone. A best friend a good shipmate is now with our Belove Lord Jesus. We knew Mareng Cora and families is full of sorrows  but let asure that our freindship is always alive,. We just say goodbye to this earthly life but time set us back at our Lord yard in heaven.
Thank you Pareng Leo, Mareng Cora and families.  You're the best. We love you all.
