Lula Ann Baker, 80, was born on October 26, 1942 and left this earth on November 7, 2022 after a sudden and aggressive battle with cancer. She is survived by her daughters Amy and Kim, her son Mark, her son-in-law Richard, and her daughter-in-law Rebecca. She was grandma to Natalie, Breanna, Braelynn, Kayla, Tyler, Kendra and Ryleigh. She was great grandma ‘Gigi’ to Gunner, Zoey and baby Lula on the way. She is also survived by her sister Donna, her brother-in-law JD, and her nephews Jim and Jeff and their families.
Lula was adopted at birth by Ruth and Charles Rybolt – ‘Mother and Daddy’ and lived in Indianapolis, Indiana until 1947 when the Rybolt family moved to Lake Elsinore, California.
LuAnn graduated from Elsinore High School in 1960. She was active in chorus all 4 years. She moved to Corona, CA and worked as a bookkeeper after graduation.
She received the gift of the Holy Ghost and was baptized in Jesus name on March 27, 1983 in Pastor Howard Davis’ church in San Bernardino, CA. From that day forward she never departed from this beautiful truth. She was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church in Riverside, CA under Pastor Lee Davis for 12 years. Since 2001 she has been a member of Inland Lighthouse Church – Rialto and has been a member of Inland Lighthouse Church – Riverside since it started in 2019.
Her most precious time was spent in the house of God and in group bible studies. She loved spending quality time with family, a good cup of coffee with her dessert, in the morning, afternoon or even at night before bed. Many who knew her have received one of her special homemade cards.
LuAnn was known by all as a woman of faithfulness and consistency. One of her greatest qualities was her ability to give anyone who was talking to her, her undivided attention. She always had a scripture or a word of encouragement to share. We know that the many prayers that she prayed over her family and friends will live on. She was greatly loved and will be extremely missed by all who knew her.
