

Mable Allen was born June 12, 1927 to the late Carter and Pattie Burton in Plain Dealing, Louisiana. She accepted Christ at an early age at Rock Spring #1 Baptist Church in Bolinger, Louisiana. She attended Glover Hill Elementary and graduated from Bossier Parish Training School. She was an active member at St. Reed Missionary Baptist Church in Los Angeles, CA, where she sang in the choir. She then joined New Hope Missionary Baptist Church when she moved to Fontana, CA in 2005.
She united in Holy Matrimony on October 11, 1947 to Lamar Allen, Sr. To this union two children were born, Lamar Jr. and Ivory Jewel. She moved to Los Angeles, California in 1952. In September 2005 they moved to Fontana, California. Mable was preceded in death by her grandson, Kevin "Kemo" Allen and three (3) sisters, Margartie Nell, Ruthie Dell and Essie Alley.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her devoted husband, Lamar Allen, Sr., her son, Lamar Allen, Jr., and daughter Ivory Jewel Allen-Harris, her nephew that she raised, D'Mitri Burton, two (2) sisters, Lillian Flucus and Betty Davis, three (3) brothers, Carter Burton Jr., Charles Burton and George Burton, Sr., Four (4) grandchildren, Lamar Allen, III, Charles Andre Allen, Hanisha Allen and Da Neisha Harris. Also, eleven (11) great-grandchildren, Kayneisha Allen, Terrance Allen, Daveya Allen, Kyarra Allen, Ariel Allen, Christian Burell, Ashley Allen, Ariana Allen, Alysa Allen, Cipriano Allen Jr. and Kevin Allen. A host of nieces, nephews relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 28, 2011 at Montecito Valley View Chapel from 4-8 p.m. Funeral Service, was held on Friday, July 29, 2011, 10 a.m. at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in San Bernardino, California. Burial followed at Montecito Memorial Park.
