Our beloved Mother passed to be with the Lord on July 19, 2012 at the age of 85. She was born on October 28, 1926 to Rosauro and Victoria in Chametla, Sinaloa.
Mom was a home-maker---a wonderful wife and mother. She loved us more than life itself and showed us in every way every day. She cared for our Father until the end when he left to be with the Lord in 2002. They had seven children; Angelica Castro (Al), Victoria Marrufo (Rudy), Imelda Forster (Tom), Longina Shaw, Lonjino Rojas (Karina), Carlos Rojas and John (Karen) Rojas. She had 15 grandchildren and 4 great-grand children. She was loving, caring, patient, gentle; she was an angel to us on Earth. We know we were blessed to have her all these years and we take comfort knowing that she’s in Heaven though our lives will not be the same.
She will always live in our hearts and we are filled with many memories of her. We will always remember her in her garden which she tended to with love and a gentle touch—the same gentle touch she had for life and all.
Her faith in our Lord was immense and strong. She had the poise and look of royalty, her beauty shined and her elegance was given to her by God himself. Her kindness touched many and her tender touch upon us was like no other. Her gentleness was in her demeanor and everything she did.
She will be missed by those who loved her and knew her and most of all by us, her children. Someday she will welcome us home again with open arms and her special tender touch and we’ll be together again.
A Visitation with a Rosary will be held on Tuesday, July 24 from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at Montecito Mortuary in the Valley View Chapel in Colton, California. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 25 at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in San Bernardino, California with burial to follow at Montecito Memorial Park in Colton, California.
