Maria R. Valenzuela was born March 1st, 1948 in Bacerac Sonora Mexico from her parents Jose Cruz and Maria Del Rosario Valdez. Maria gain her wings on June 8th, 2018 at 12:40 pm in her home in Redlands from liver cancer while she was surrounded by her loved ones. Maria was survived by her husband Jose and five children Carlos, Carmen, Adriana, Rosita, and Anabell. Prior to her death, Maria lost four children Benigno, Nicolas, Jose aka Junior and Inez. Maria was also survived by twenty-two grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren as well as sisters, nephews, nieces, and aunt.

Maria met the love of her life Jose Valenzuela and married in August 1963 in Mexicali, Mexico and was happily married to Jose for 54 years and 10 months. Maria moved to Los Angeles in 1972 where she was employed at HON office furniture as a machine operator for more than 20 years. Maria raised her children and grandchildren in her home in Los Angeles.

Maria was a loyal servant to the Lord and attended a churched for many years called, Church Asamblea De Oración with Pastor Isaac Ruiz in Los Angeles. When she moved to Redlands she attended Lirio Del Valle Church with Pastor Raymundo and Berenice Lara in which she was a children’s instructor at her church. Anywhere Maria traveled she found a church to attend.

In 2001 Maria moved to Redlands with her family and continued to raise her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Maria enjoyed helping people in need and spending time with her family. Anytime she had any guest at her home she made sure they were fed and felt like they were at home. Maria had a passion for collecting things, giving to people in need, and helping families that needed help. Maria’s hobbies were cleaning, organizing, sewing, reading the bible, baking, and not only attending to her family but to her church family as well.

Maria baked cakes for all occasions including for all birthdays for her kids and grandkids. Maria was a busy person, always doing something, that was her passion. Maria enjoyed her family vacations that included going to visit family in the ranch in Sonora, Puerto Peñasco, Puerto Vallarta, Cancun and an all-girls cruise. She loved the beaches and water and on top of it all just loved being surrounded by her family. Maria will be sorely missed and is a beautiful angel given to us by God. We love you mom and thank you for all the lovely memories you have given us. Till we meet again.

Our hearts are saddened by the loss of such a wonderful and awesome woman. She was like a mom and grandma to us and our grandchildren she took us under her precious wings and always made sure that Eddie and the boys were taken care of. I will always be forever greatful for all she did for our family as she made us part of your family. I will miss seeing her in the early mornings and hearing her voice calling Eddie over the fence. She was a woman with hard working hands and a heart of gold. She will be greatly missed.

You are in our thoughts and prayers.
