Mariano "Naning" Umali passed away peacefully on July 20,2020 in Redlands, California. He was born on December 18, 1930 to Gregorio and Meletina. He was a former Justice of the Court of Appeals, a multi-awarded Judge, having received more than 50 awards and citations from various groups, including the Judicial Excellence award as Outstanding Regional Trial Court Judge. Mariano lived to the fullest, playing an active role in various organizations, such as the Philippine Judges Association, where he served as President and loved playing golf. He is survived by is wife of 60 years, Linda, and children: Ian, Marita and husband Leonie, Manny and wife Bezz, Ayin and husband Tony, Ann and husband Boyet. He is also survived by sisters Des, Coret, Lumen and brother Zosing. He is also survived by grandchildren (David and Brian, Justin, Jacob and Joshua, and Nicole) and nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Cleotilde.
