She was born in Cap-Haitien (Au Cap), Haiti on January 20, 1953. She retired from Delware Valley Veterans Home in August 2020 as a Licensed Practical Nurse after more than 15 years of service. She was survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Suzanne and Joel Delva, her brother Francois Charles, her nephew and nieces who she deems as her own children, Owhens Delva, Sylvie Johnson, Judy Delva, Cynthia Delva, Joey and Judy Charles. Also, she is survived by numerous family and friends.
Marie Charles had a big heart that warmed the souls of her family, friends, colleagues, and patients. Her contagious smile made people in her company feel welcomed. Her positive and vivacious energy and attitude were able to light up a room. For her heart, smile, and personality she will always be remembered.
