Your father reached  98 years on this earth and most of those years he was a father longer than he was a single man. You were all able to enjoy your daddy through all your years and your father in his years with you watched each of you as babies to toddlers, to teenagers, to adults, to grandparents and some of you to great grandparents!! What a joy but now it's time where Momma want's Pop home with her, they did their best with you and now you have to keep up the tradition. Olivia, Rosie, Sally I have had the pleasure in knowing you ladies and I have to say Your parents did a beautiful job in raising you.  Johnny and I are truly sorry for your loss.

I met Mario Enriquez 33 years and since that time I have had the pleasure of knowing him not only as a friend but as the grandfather of my children. Knowing you has been a blessing in many ways. I'll miss the family blessings you would give to all of us as we gather to celebrate the family events. My Children will miss the comforting presence that you exuded to them. My daughter Alexis always looked forward to your blessings. My Son Emilio will always carry with him the love of fishing that you so dearly imparted in him, he has become a terror to the trout community. Growing up we always treasured the time we were able to spend with our grandfather. Whether it was family gatherings or fishing we would always feel the loving energy that he brought to a room. We always knew how proud he was of us and all of the family, and how much he cared for us. Although we will miss him deeply we will continue to celebrate his life on Earth.

My heart is broken, but my soul is joyful, as I remember my beloved dad. 
Our family was truly blessed to have had a patriarch whose love and daily life was our moral compass. The legacy my dad has left us is the pride he took in being our father and grandfather, in a life well lived and the eloquent way he would express this to us at every possible opportunity.

I'm very sad my abuelito has left us but I realize now that he's in a better place with my abuelita Rosie now. I am so thankful & blessed that I was able to speak his native language & have endless conversations that I will definitely miss & never forget. I will miss you as my family will miss you . You were a good father to my wife Jackie. Our daughter Alexis always looked forward to hearing you speak at the family get togethers for she felt your words deeply in her heart. Our son Emilio has all those memories of you taking the time to teach him how to fish and spending time with him fishing, memories and a practice that he will relish for a lifetime. I have the greatest treasure you could have given me your daughter Jackie, I can truly say that your words and teachings will continue to live in our home. I didn't have much time to speak with my grandfather since I lived so far away, but he always showed me a smile and a kind word whenever I would visit.  I really regret not talking to him more since it is only now that I realize how much he achieved for himself and for all of us as his family.  Our family is the realization of the American dream, coming all the way from the fields to grow and prosper by hard work.  May all of us continue to grow and prosper in honor of the groundwork both Grampa and Grandma laid for us all.

I am so sorry for the loss of your Dad. Even though he did not speak English, he made me feel very welcome at your house. He smiled and talked and kept offering me more food. You have a wonderful family. I know you will see them again.

My father Mario was an inspiration to me because he was very loving, kind and friendly to everyone he met. He liked to tell stories of his life to anyone who would listen. He was so proud of his many accomplishments in his long life. He was a happy man and lived a beautiful life with my late mom Rosie. They raised 10 beautiful children, and we all have a piece of him in our hearts. I ended spending a lot of time with him after our mom passed away. We would go to San Salvador church and sometimes for breakfast. I realized that I enjoyed his company because we were both going through a lonely time together. May they finally rest in peace together forever.

My great grandpa Mario was nice, thankful and he loves kids. He always dropped me off at school and I'm going to miss a lot.

Mario loved his family, I remember sitting aound the kitchen table with him and Rose.  I'm certain that they are sitting together now.  And he most likely has a fishing pole.  Do miss them.  Johnnie Hardeman

I remember so many little things. 
The house on H street always smelled like frijoles. 
I remember My grandparents gave the best, warmest, strongest hugs.
I remember my aunts asleep on Sunday mornings and my mom pulling all their blankets off. I loved going to their house then....so full of life. 
I remember being told to go outside and play in my fancy easter dress. "But don't get all dirty!!" with my cousins.
I remember gramma making menudo outside on the fire stove my grampa built for her. She made her beans out there too sometimes 
I remember when grampa broke his leg.   All my aunts fluttered around him like butterflies eager to please. 
I remember Mrs. Price had a beautiful green yard and a turtle next door.
I remember you, my grandparents and I love you so much.

RIP to my grandpa Mario. He lived an amazing 98 years on this earth, and can now rest with his Rosa eternally. Thank you so much for all of your wisdom and love, your spirit will live on in our family forever.

Oh how you will be missed my dear grandfather, Mario. Your presence, your eloquent words, your strong hugs. That the angels receive you with open arms and may you rest in peace.

As a member of the family living in northern California ( Rosie Enriquez ) I have lived my life pretty far away from everyone else. Regardless of that geographic barrier I came to know my grandfather very well...I remember being young and feeling as though my grandfather (predominantly a field worker) was not very bright...I came to realize that this thought was purely due to a language barrier...I clearly remember my aunt Evangelina Mirande translating a speech of his during a family Christmas party and truly understanding how intelligent and amazing my grandfather was...regardless of where i grew up i always knew how amazing my Enriquez grandparents were and I continue to be amazed how great they were even in their passing. Grandpa Mario..you will be missed, i just hope you know how many lives you affected, and how much you meant to all of us...I love you.
