Veronica Olaniyan was born on June 11, 1952 in Ondo, Nigeria to Joshua and Omowunmi Adekuolue. She has a twin sister, Mary. As a young woman, she spent much of her spare time helping to tend her father’s farm. She started her career in Nursing while studying in Nigeria and would continue this profession upon relocating to the United States.
In 1982, she would meet her husband, Samuel, while he was visiting friends and family. They would wed on January 1, 1983 and go on to have three children – Elliot, Emmanuel, and Hannah. She stressed education and witnessed all three of her children attend college. She was devoted to the Church, being one of the pioneers of bringing Celestial Church of Christ to California. She would devote much of her time and energy is supporting the growth of the ministry. She was selfless and fierce prayer warrior, always putting the needs of other before her own. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and wife.
