Miguel Rangel Sanchez was a man that didn’t express his love for his family with words but rather with actions. He showed it in the family fun days to amusement parks like Knotts Berry Farm or just trips to the beach. Time spent with family was important to him.
He was a man that enjoyed the things that made life exciting. He was a fan of the great American institution American football, being a lifelong fan of Notre Dame football and in later years became invested in other sports programs from the school, like softball and basketball. He also had favorites among the professional teams, insisting that he had to watch every single game during the football season.
As a father, he loved his two children and made time to be a part of their interests as they grew up, whether it was karate training, band practice, water polo matches or award ceremonies and graduation. He was proud of their accomplishments and, while not the best at saying it, encouraged them, trying to convey his concerns.
As a grandfather, he enjoyed spending time with his first grandson and teaching him the important things like yard work.
As a husband, he was dedicated to his wife. He expressed his affection for her through gestures and meaningful cards for those important dates to be remembered.
Every family has their ups and downs and even though Miguel could drive his family crazy, it never damped his love for his family nor their love for him. He will be missed, especially him blaring the TV at full volume when people are doing other things or relaxing. We love you Miguel and you will be missed.
