Mikel enjoyed working on muscle cars, going to the NHRA drag races, and spending time with his grandchildren and his family. Mikel spent his entire life working in the trucking industry, where he started out as a truck driver as a teenager, then worked his way up to become a logistical freight operations manager.
Mikel is survived by his son, Mikel Arvizu Jr.; Samantha Wilcox (sister) of South Lake Tahoe; Mary Johnson (former wife); Evelyn (significant other); his two stepdaughters, Kim Carter Herbert and Brandie Carter; and his grandchildren, Katelynn Hoagland, Reannen, Alyssa, Zara, Abby, Felix, Liz, Charlie, and Lydia; dozens of nieces and nephews; and extended family who loved him and will miss him dearly.
Mikel was preceded in death by his father, Pete H. Arvizu, his mother, Heidi A. House of San Bernardino, and his brothers and sister, St. Clement Arvizu, Romeo Peter Arvizu, and Laurie Arvizu Simard.
