March 29, 1967 – June 12, 2026
Noel Robert Green, 59, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2026, in Colton, California, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Los Angeles, California, on March 29, 1967, Noel grew up in Arroyo Grande, where he attended Lighthouse Christian School and graduated from Arroyo Grande High School with the Class of 1985. Following high school, Noel proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.
Professionally, Noel possessed a brilliant technical mind, dedicating his career to the telecommunications field where he excelled as a Senior Systems Management Analyst.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Noel was deeply creative and possessed a beautiful soul. He was an incredibly talented musician who could play the piano beautifully, and he found great joy and peace in singing Christian hymns. He was also blessed with a wonderful sense of humor; his great-nieces and nephews were always entertained by the funny, clever character voices he could create just to make them laugh.
While Noel’s life wasn’t always easy and he faced his share of struggles, his story is ultimately one of redemption and peace. In his final chapter, Noel reunited with his faith and found Jesus again. His family takes immense comfort and rejoices knowing that he is now resting peacefully in the arms of his Savior.
Noel was preceded in death by his parents, Perry Noel Green and Peggy Lavon Green, and his beloved sister, Judy Lavonne Sharp.
His legacy of love and laughter lives on through his surviving family: his brother, Perry Lamar Green and wife Tillie of Bakersfield; his brother, Ronald Alan Green and wife Jeri of Redding; his sister, Noela Lee Howerton and husband Bill of Redding; and his sister, Kimberly de la Vega and husband Tim of Oakland.
He is also survived by his cherished nieces and nephews: Kenny, Kevin, Robert, Cari, Justin, Bradley, Blake, Kayla, Ericka, Ashley, and Lucas; as well as his many great-nieces and nephews, including Keira, Kaisli, River, Saylor, Willow, Cayden, Chase, and Mira, all of whom he loved deeply.
Noel will be laid to rest next to his mother in the Arroyo Grande Cemetery.
