Pablo Turcato Malana was born in Santa, Ilocos Sur, Philippines on January 15, 1932. He attended the University of the East in Metro Manila for his accounting career. After attending, he also worked on the faculty at the University of the East before moving on to work as part of the faculty for the Philippine School of Business Administration in Manila, and La Salle College. Pablo also worked as an Accountant auditor of Union Carbide Philippines, Dole Pineapple Company, and John Deere in the Philippines. He later transitioned to become the auditor for the Alliance of Filipino Catholic Charismatic Prayer Communities and the Santa Municipal House in Santa, Ilocos Sur, Philippines.
Pablo was married to Lourdes Atienza in 1956 and together they had four sons: Arnold, Bernard Charlie, and Paul. With his family, Pablo left the Philippines to join his parents in Maui, Hawaii. At this time, he worked as the chief auditor with the state of Hawaii. While in Hawaii, Pablo went on to pursue his Masters in Business Administration degree at Chaminade University of Honolulu. Pablo moved to California with his family to the state of California for better opportunities, and he established his own accounting firm. He continued to work in and maintain his firm up to when he became sick.
Pablo was a very active member of the church, serving as a lector and Eucharistic Minister for his parish. Pablo also joined many church related groups including Two Hearts, Fatima, the Blue Army, and the Cursillo Movement.
