Pam was born to parents Francis and Mildred Fowler on March 4, 1952, in Inglewood, CA. Pam was the proud mother of 4 children. Being a mother and a grandmother was one of the most important parts of Pam’s life, a role that gave her much pride and joy.
Pam was predeceased by her parents, Francis and Mildred Fowler, and her brother Douglas Fowler. She is survived by her brother Richard (Rick) Fowler; her husband Robert Horton; her four children, Russell (Shane) Miller, Alicia Smith, Brian Thornton, and Dana Horton; her neice Linzy Trueblood, and her six grandchildren (Alyssa, Evelyn, Rose, Drew, Brian, and Kailee).
Prior to her retirement, Pam was employed with Riverside Unified School District for many years at Sunshine Early Childhood Center. Pam brought a special energy and devotion as an Instructional Assistant in the classroom for both the Headstart Program and Special Education. She was also a Program Assistant with Vision Services for many years at Sunshine.
Pam was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in 2009, but had been kept in remission with maintenance therapy. Our family is grateful to know that Pam is home in the loving arms of Jesus. Services will be held on November 27th 2023 from 10-11am in the Cypress Chapel at Montecito Memorial Park, located at 24145 Barton Rd, Loma Linda, CA 92354. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to The International Multiple Myeloma Foundation.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.montecitomemorialparkandmortuary.com for the Horton family.
