Philip Eugene Baldwin was born on July 20, 1918, to Madison G. Baldwin-Physician, and Edith L. Baldwin-School teacher in Toledo Ohio. When he was 10(1928) his family moved to Riverside Ca. for his Dad's health. He attended Lowell Elementary School, Central Junior High School, and Poly High School graduating from all three. He received his AA degree from Riverside Community College and then attended Woodbury College majoring in Advertising in 1940. World War II came about and he was drafted by the Army in March of 1941. In 1942 he was stationed at Fort Hays Kansas and met his wife June Lake, they were married on August 28 1943. He eventually became a glider pilot and was stationed in England for the duration of the war and attained the rank of Flight Officer. Following his discharge he joined the Air Force reserves and eventually retired with the rank of Major. He sought civilian employment working for Bramer Dickinson, and the Santa Fe Railroad for a couple of years. He became employed by the Bank of America as a Field Representative. He retired from the bank in 1976 with over 30 years + of service. Philip and his beloved June were married for 64 years, and June preceded Philip in death in September 2007 at age 85. Philip and June had three children Julie J. Massey, Philip M. Baldwin and Corinne E. Baldwin-deceased 2008. Philip had diverse hobbies such as flying Cessna Airplanes, riding his motorcycles, hunting for rattlesnakes, golfing and visiting thrift shops. When his children were growing up he attended most of their activities such as piano recitals and baseball games or graduations. Philip was a member of the Methodist church and supported the following charities, Riverside Community College, the Red Cross, and Riverside Diabetes Association. Philip passed away peacefully on April 20, 2013. He is survived by his daughter Julie, his son Philip, his daughter in law Nancy his granddaughters Laura and Heather and five Grandchildren.
