Phillip Serrato, 71 yrs. old, resided in Rialto, CA. A loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to all those who crossed his earthly life. Though Phillip fought a brave battle against cancer, God could wait no more and summoned him to enter through Heaven’s Gates on January 15, 2021.
Phillip was born on November 1, 1949, in East Los Angeles. His parents, Mary Del Rio and Benito Serrato raised him and his sibling in Rosemead, CA. Phillip attended San Gabriel High School and received his A.A. from East Los Angeles College.
His career path included employment at Occidental Insurance Company, Pacific Bell/AT&T, and Walmart.
On April 1971, Phillip married the love of his life, Ana Venegas, and was looking forward to celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. They enjoyed a beautiful life together with their six children residing in La Puente, San Jose, and Rialto. Phillip loved and embraced all those around him, and especially enjoyed coaching soccer, baseball, and helping as a volunteer at his children’s schools.
Phillip is survived by wife Ana; sons Phillip Ruben, Ryan Patrick, and Christian Phillip; daughters Roxanne and Nikki; brothers Ruben and Paul; sisters Angel, Joanne, Irene, and Mary Lou; sister-in-law Rafaela, Yolanda, Lili, and Trisha; brother-in-law Mark Alarcon, and Jesse Venegas; son-in-law Javier Diaz; daughter-in-law Erin Serrato and Brittany Davidson; grandchildren Pablo, Miguel, Delilah, Marcus; Zoey, Jaiden, Xavier, Briana, Hailey, Megan; and great-granddaughter Julianne.
Our beloved Phillip was preceded in death by daughter Mia; mother Mary; father Benito; and brother-in-law Allan Tustin and Jaime Venegas.
Phillip will remain forever in our hearts.
