A great and tragic loss. A kind and gental soul ,gone from us, all too soon .Now in the loving arms of Jesus Christ his Lord and Savior. My child hood friend ,1966 to brother in law ,needless to say we shared childhood dreams to adult realities .through good times and bad we were there for each other ,he had that special ability to grow on people ,he was that kind of shy deep thinking , inquisitive, impulsive , miled mannered cool guy who you wanted to hang out with ,and felt comfortable enough to share your inner most thoughts and feelings with.he was not boastful not a braggert not imposing .simply put he was Randy my best friend and i was proud to have him as my brother in law .it's a small world to say the least .ironically as an eight year old meeting Randy on the harbor view school play ground ,in 1966 ,my sister Terry was about to start working as a nurse with Randy's mother . All those years hanging out with Randy uninterrupted friend ship , until that fateful day when I was on the way to a rock concert with Randy (tickets in hand) ,I had to stop by my sister's apartment to pick something up,and that's when it happend. I could not pry him out of there we were going to be late for our concert .well l  guess it was love at first sight needless to say he did not go to the concert with me,he stayed there and fell in love with my sister.I have to admit I was upset at first but I realized I did not loose a friend I gained a brother you know friends can drift apart but brothers Are forever..Randy was at my place with other friends about  1978 we were having a party all the guys were mocking a Christian show on TV .I had a sudden spiritual awakening I accepted Christ ,and of course they started mocking me ,the only one who did not was Randy . I asked them all to leave if they were going to mock Jesus ,they all got up and left . Except Randy ,and i said  to Randy well what about you.He asked me if he could stay he wanted me to share with him what just happend to me ,I did we talked the rest of the night further cementing our life long bond,and opening his spirit to Jesus . (Side note I never saw those other friends again they were welcome but never came.) God had a plan for Randy a purpose for him .my sister Terry a Christian would help guide him on the path to the kingdom along with his loving kind brother Russel,also a Christian. He was blessed with a loving daughter Melisa and three beautiful grand children .My son Chris loved his uncle and they were like friends as well . Chris's mother brothers and sister all loved him. He was there to lend a hand if needed ,he worked with his hands, if he needed a tool most of the time he'd simply make it.he and Russel built homes for his parents did additions on family homes as well . pretty much for free out of love for their family. My wife loved him and morened  his loss .she as all of us were shocked at our loss .my wife Valery hired him to work at home depot (westminster). He would stay there fifteen years.she misses him very much and their in depth conversations .On be half of Terry , myself and Randy I want to thank all who loved Randy and payed respects to him and my sister.To Randy's mother Bobby ,his sister's ,Debby Donna and trish,i extend our heartfelt condolences and love to you .May God walk with and bless you always .And finally to Russel my brother I'm so sorry for your loss we are bound eternally by our love and relationship with Christ your gental soul is a blessing and our friendship is strengthened by this loss I got your back love you brother in Christ .
