Raymond Aguilar Vega, a longtime resident of Redlands and Cabazon, passed away at the Vista Cove Care Center in San Gabriel. He was preceded in death by his wife Vera Gallardo Vega and son Andy Vega. Survivors include three sons, Albert Vega of Bishop, Mike Vega of Montebello, and Henry Vega of San Bernardino; twelve grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren.
Raymond was a proud veteran and served with the United States Army. He received an Honorable Discharge on December 8, 1945, and was awarded the World War II Victory Medal.
In 1950, he joined Kaiser Steel and worked there as a welder for 30 years. He was a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers.
