Born in San Bernardino on May 17th, 1934. He married Marilyn and they had three children. Marilyn passed away in 1966. He married Charlene in 1969 and she passed away in 2013. He leaves his three children, Fred, Debbie and Darlene, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He enjoyed many years of camping, hunting and fishing back in the early years. He always had the sharpest of knives,
loved dogs, and really liked to cook. He always tried to put a smile on others’ faces. Dick loved playing harmless practical jokes. He touched countless lives in his 87 years. He could fix just about anything even though he only had 3 fingers on his right hand. He loved serving people. He found ways of doing things you would think he couldn’t do, even creating special tools to accomplish his tasks. He had loads of patience and would not give up on anything easily. In 2014 he learned how to use electronic devices. He never thought he would ever use an Ipad or smart phone. It took him a while but he embraced the newfound electronic tools, and started to really enjoy using social media, and started taking lots of pictures. Dick
realized that Google was like having an encyclopedia in the palm of your hand. Dick moved into Ramrod Park April of 2007. He made many friends and had a positive impact on many people in his 14 years here. Those who were fortunate to have known him were blessed and he will be greatly missed.
