

Robert J. Lavallee, 85 died peacefully on July 4, 2015 at Riverside Community Hospital in Riverside California after a long illness. He was born in Woonsocket to the late Paul Emile and Alma Isabel (Daigneault) Lavallee. He had one brother who preceded him in death, Paul Francois (Frankie) Lavallee.
Robert graduated from Mount St. Charles Academy. He attended the University of Rhode Island and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Hampshire.
He was married in Rome, New York in 1955 to Virginia Ann (Verrenti) Lavallee . She died in 2009. He leaves behind his children Wendy Ann Lavallee and Linda Susan Lavallee both from Riverside California and loving relatives and friends.
Lt Col. Lavallee joined the Navy as a young man but soon discovered he wanted to fly so he joined the United States Air Force. He was a navigator in B-66's and B-52's. He proudly served our country in both Korea and Vietnam. He retired from the military after 28 years. He then worked for a time at security Pacific Bank as an Assistant Manager.
A celebration of his life will be held Tuesday, July 14 2015. The viewing is at noon at Montecito Memorial Park and Mortuary, 3520 E. Washington St., Colton California 92324 at 12:00pm, with a service at 1:00pm at All Souls Mausoleum chapel and burial to follow at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery.
