Thinking back to when you were in reche canyon, I pushed you in a wheel chair and we viewed the scenery in silence. We were previously talking about how everyone was too busy to come see you including myself. Then you said "life goes on".

It's been a few years now since you've been gone. I miss you when I go to Granny's and I expect to see you there on the chair ready to yell "fat!". When I set the table, sometimes I'll get your favorite fork and realize you're not asking for it but it's a habit. When Granny had your birds I would help feed them and I could hear you telling me "that's too much!" I always liked to give them extra birdseed but you taught me the amount to give them.

I guess what I'm trying to say is life is going on and although you're not physically here, you're carried with us as we go through it.

I love you Papa and I hope you watch over all of us.

Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, you look like a monkey, you belong in the zoo!

Happy Birthday Papa and Happy Anniversary!

We miss you very much and I know you were with us tonight as we sang to Granny and had some cake. We all got up to dance and Granny's still got it. She was moving so fast.

Ray, Monica, and Annaliese have come down to visit and Annaliese runs your house now. She also loves your chair and getting into everything. She also likes to try and help Granny feed the birds. Yes your birds are still going strong.

I love you papa.

PADRE! Are you ready for this? I got a promotion. Yes, I passed the test. ;)
I'll be making around $330 more dollars than my old job. And, I went on another interview and that job pays $1,960 more a month than I make now....but they haven't called me again.
But hey, every little bit counts, right?
I know you are with us Dad, Roberto and Anthony are growing up so fast. And Roberto does this crazy face that reminds us of you. Anthony, is a bit reserved like Mom.
Raechelle is working at a clothing store, and she likes working. But she really wants to get into something else.
Ray is doing better than all of us. He takes after you because he saves his money. You would be so proud.
I love you Dad, and miss you. Your Birthday is this Friday! And Mom's and Your Anniversary. I'm planning on getting her a Wedding Cake and decorating it with Orchids or Lily's of the Valley. See you soon. Cindos

There's nothing more pleasing than to see your mannerisms and spirit in my kids. Some are grown, and others are growing each day. I'm proud to say that they will carry on the Velasquez name; another generation filled with hopes of achieving their dreams.
I love you for giving me the courage, Dad, to keep my head up even when others put me down.
I salute you, with respect, and thank you for representing us in the service. During these troubled times it means even more to me. I share a love for my country just as you taught us to have.
Until we meet again Padre, I am waiting for you.
