"Rudy" was born January 10, 1949 and resided in the Municipality of San Esteban for much of his young-to-young adult life. During his young adult life, he worked many jobs most notably as a police officer. Eventually, he decided to immigrate to the United States and join the United States Navy where he graduated from the Naval Academy of Health Sciences and then retired with an honorable discharge as a hospital corpsman first class. During this time, he met his future wife Marie Orpilla and was married in 1988 and became a wonderful father to three children who love him dearly. He was an amazing dad who valued hard work and previously held two jobs to support his family. After retiring, he spent his time being with loved ones, serving God, and enjoying his favorite hobbies, singing, gardening, and cooking.
Survivors: His memory lives on in Marie Orpilla (Wife), his three children David, Hannah, and John, and his five siblings Leonida Etrata, William Orpilla, Honesimo Orpilla, Ernesto Orpilla, and Jesse Orpilla.
