Daddy, there isn't a day that passes that you aren't on my mind. It still feels unreal to me. I sometimes go to my phone to call you and it hits me you won't answer. I have been blessed with the people that are around me. My biggest supporter, the person that always said Papi Loves You is no longer a phone call away. I pray that God keeps giving me peace. I love you more then words can describe. I told you that I couldn't imagine losing you or mom. I also told you that the only thing that would give me peace is knowing you went home. What I didn't know is, soon after that conversation I would have to live through the imaginable. And although it is harder then anyone can imagine, the only thing that gives me hope is that your in Heaven. And I will see you again.... I will miss you in every moment of my life. I meet Ruben and Linda in the beautiful group they started "Play it Forward"  I only knew him such a short time, and he left such a beautiful expression in my life that I will never forget. Ruben may not be with us here, but he will always be in our hearts and I will never forget him!

I had the privilege of meeting Ruben and knowing him for only a brief period of time before our Father in heaven called him home.  
He was a man filled with passon for helping others and he had the ability to instill that same desire to help in others.
His legacy lives on in the seed he planted in many others who will continue to fufill his dream of "Paying It Forward".
He will be missed but he lives on through the lifes of the people he touched and impacted.
His family and friends should be proud of the man he was.

I met Ruben after my friend Maria and I (Lydia) joined Pay It Forward.  He just created this group and this was their first activity. We met Ruben and Linda. I really enjoyed speaking with Linda and Ruben. They were passionate about the future.  I pray to God to be with Linda at this time in a special way. Amen.  Lydia Ferrall (Riverside, CA)

Ruben, I can't believe I'm not going to see your smile here on earth anymore, you aren't going to come over with my mom, and I'm not going to see you at her house, and I am going to miss you and your smile.  I never worried about my mom when she was with you, I knew that you were going to take care of her.  I really am going to miss you very much.  I know you are in a wonderful place and are having a great time in Heaven with our awesome God, but I am truly going to miss you.  I always liked you Ruben, from the day I met you, and i really hope you knew that.

Ruben, My life was blessed because of knowing you.  I always saw you as a man of faith and integrity.  You always had a smile on your face, (except when we discussed politics) You were proud of your children and your famly.  I was so happy when you finally met the love of your life in Linda.
