Ruperto Bondoc Domingo, also known as “Ruping” and “Rupert” by family and friends passed away peacefully at Loma Linda Hospital on the morning of July 4, 2024. He was a resident of Highland, CA. He was born in Nueva Ecija, Philippines on April 11, 1943, and was the 6th of 7 siblings (4 boys, 3 girls). He graduated from Far Eastern University, Manila Philippines with a degree in B.S.C. Accounting. His first job was Budget Officer at Delta Motor Corporation from 1964 through 1972.
At the age of 20, he married his wife, Victoria in 1963 and later had 2 daughters, Vivian Christina and Ruthie. Rupert immigrated to the United States in 1972 and resided in Los Angeles, CA, followed by his family in 1973. During this time, the family moved to San Bernardino as Rupert began his career with the San Bernardino County as an Internal Auditor through 1989. Rupert was a very hard worker and was also very active with the Filipino Communities such as President for FFACES (1996-1998) and Board member for GIEFA (1998-2000). In 2015, Rupert retired from the Inland Regional Center.
In his early years, Rupert’s hobbies were playing golf with his friends and traveling out of state. He enjoyed Las Vegas during Superbowl weekends every year. He had fun attending tennis matches in Palm Springs and was a fan of Serena and Venus Williams. Rupert also was a Laker fan and watched the basketball games with his family. He also had a love for sports cars such as his Porsche and Mercedes.
Attending church with his wife, Victoria was a regular routine on Sunday followed by In and Out hamburgers. Rupert was content with watching his favorite gameshows like Family Feud, $100,000 Pyramid, and sitcoms such as I Love Lucy, Three’s Company, and Friends, while spending time with family.
