Russell Walter Kelsey died at home on May 9, 2012 after a long illness. He was born May 21, 1931 in Oak Park, Illinois. Russ served in the Army, during the Korea War, and was stationed in Germany. He went on to work for the Federal Aviation Administration as an Air Traffic Controller at O’Hare Airport. He transferred to Los angles in 1966 finishing his career as the Chief at Ontario Airport. After 32 years he retired in 1990. Wanting to keep busy he joined the Redlands Civilian Volunteer Patrol. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Carolyn; 3 sons Craig, Michael, Darrell; 3 daughters, Cheryl, Linda, and Lori; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2013 – 11:00 AM at Bethany Reformed Church, 705 Cajon Avenue, Redlands.
