Steven grew up in Colton, where he built the steady foundation of a life marked by devotion to family and a warm, easy humor that could lighten a room without ever asking for attention. Beloved by those who knew him best, he carried himself with quiet strength and a generous spirit that showed most in the way he cared for others.
For 35 years, Steven worked in the construction trade, a career defined by reliability, pride in honest work, and the respect earned over time. He retired as a forman, remembered for the steady hand and practical wisdom that helped get the job done—often with a well-timed joke that made hard days feel a little lighter.
Steven also found satisfaction in restoring old coolers, taking what was worn with age and bringing it back with patience and care—an interest that reflected his appreciation for craftsmanship and the simple pleasure of making something useful again.
Steven is survived by his wife, Gracie Llamas; daughters, Sylvia and Ernestine; sons, Steven and Jesus; son-in-law Anthony Marshall, daughter in law, Ericka Llamas, brother in law Gilroy Garcia, grandkids, Amelia, Charlotte, Janelle, and Kayden; brother, Albert; and sister, Rosemarie and best friends, Mark Wright and John Garcia. He was predeceased by his parents, Charlotte and Jesus, and his brother, Kenneth.
