Tom was my eldest brother.  We had a great childhood in Illinois.  He taught me so many things....how to tie my shoes, ride a bike and drive a car.  He was a great father figure to me after our Dad died when we were still young.  Even though we have lived many miles apart we still kept up with each other and I will miss him so much.

My fondest memory of Tom has been in recent years. He always made an effort to come by my automotive repair shop and visit me when he was passing through the area. It was always a pleasure to see and chat with him. I will miss his surprise visits.

My best memories of Tom are when my family would go to Illinois for our summer vacation. We would go to the clubhouse on the farm and  all go fishing at the pond.  All the cousins would be present; Tom, myself, Sandy, Gary, Les, and Roger.  Tom would always bait my hook as I was horrified by the wiggling worms.  He was always a great cousin and looked after us. I will always have these memories of Tom.  Cousin Pat
