I miss you everyday my friend.

Mr. Williamson was one of my first supervisors. He was a smart intelligent man who worked his way from the lines of being an electrician to being the director of the department. I actually remember coming to work and wondering where he was. Then being told he was sick. He and my uncle fell ill around the same time and had the same thing happen to them. The last time I saw him was in Kaiser with his sister pushing his wheel chair.  The funny part is, even though he was already sick, he reacted to my voice. I am truly going to miss you Mr. Williamson. You were my first mentor, the first African American that I saw in a position of power in the Inland Empire, and just an all out great guy. It hurts my heart that the pressures of the job led to your demise. God Bless you and your family. May you rest in peace. 

My deepest condolences to your family. Toussaint and I worked together and he will be missed by all who called him a friend.

RESOLUTION IN MEMORY OF
BROTHER TOUSSAINT P. WILLIAMSON


When life takes what matters most, where do we turn? Our losses bring a swirl of emotions-pain, agony, anger, regret. Huge questions loom over us and go unanswered. We ache for genuine comfort. Yet even as we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, there is hope.

WHEREAS, Lebanon Baptist Church Family and the Baker and surrounding communities are in prayer with our former members, Helen W. Cobb, Phillip, Sigmund & Maurice Williamson and our devoted members, Ruby P. Robinson, Kenneth & Ivey Gray, Nadean Thomas, Donald & Pastoria Robinson and other family members, as they mourn the demise of their brother, nephew, cousin and friend, Brother Toussaint P. Williamson. And

WHEREAS, Brother Williamson’s early religious education was in Lebanon and he was actively involved until moving away. His mother, Sister Branchola Williamson, who preceded him in death, was one of our most dedicated and loved members, and Blessed us greatly with her anointed singing voice. 

BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED, Lebanon Baptist Church Family, pray for your strength and courage in the Lord. We ask that you not question God as to why Brother Williamson suffered with a long term illness before God brought him relief but know that God is near and touched by your sorrow. He continues to be your comforter and you only have to lean and depend on Him to help you cope during the coming days. Please call as our services are needed.

May you find comfort in 2 Corinthians 1:4, which reads, “He comforts us in all our troubles so that we may comfort others.”
