Valentina entered into life on February 14, 1930 in La Chorrera, Republic of Panama to
Catalina and Francisco DeLeon. She was born into a family of 3 boys and 10 girls.
Valentina was a life long supporter and worked at her Beloved Loma Linda University Medical Center where she retired after 40 plus years in the Linen and in Dispatch Departments.
After retirement she returned to work part time in 2001 at The Loma Linda University Medical Center East Campus where she worked until 2016.
She would say “Mi Loma Linda” every time we passed the hospital and would have so much joy in her face and smile.
Valentina is survived by her Children Carlos J. Delgado Jr. (Herminia), Francisco A. Delgado Sr. (Isabella), Aida Carina de Santa Maria (Bolivar) Margaret Navarro (Ray), Diana Flores (Benjamin),
Juan B Delgado Sr. (Ginny), Valentina Ortega (Ruben), Daniel Delgado Sr. (Denise), Rebeca May (Javier) and Antonio Delgado.
Valentina leaves a Loving legacy to 36 Grand Children, 53 Great Grandchildren, and 11 Great Great Grandchildren.
Her Sisters Ines , Conception, Uvaleina and Gilma and an abundance of loved nieces and nephews in Panama and in USA.
Valentina leaves countless of other Children of her heart that she counseled and took under her wings throughout her life. Her love knew NO boundaries. She was “Mama” to many.
She was preceded in death by her Loving Husband Carlos Jose Delgado Sr., Her Parents Catalina and Francisco DeLeon, her Son Mauricio Delgado, Her Firstborn Grandson Francisco A. Delgado Jr., Great Grandsons Mauricio Antonio Delgado, Christopher Matthew Brooks, Alex Mauricio Brooks, and Mark Kevin Brooks, 3 brothers and 5 sisters.
Her infectious Smile, Laughter, Unconditional Love that She Blessed her Family and All who knew her with will forever be missed.
