Seeing these posts day after day and all these pictures of this young man who I know we all knew as the happiest person we've ever known is hard. But I know he lives on through us. It's hard but I know he would want us all happy and to keep on living. And just be thankful we all got the chance to know him for who he was

I've got a video of Vance and Derek and I geocaching in downtown Redlands somewhere... I'm hoping I can get my hands on it. Vance was always the nicest guy to be around, and I never knew him to judge anybody. My first impression of him was very good, and I was a person who was pretty shy and not very good at making friends, but he made it pretty easy. He was just there, and he didn't care about the way I looked or talked, he was friendly anyway. So from that day on, I never had a negative meeting with Vance, and I have tons of memories of hanging out with him and being around his great sense of humor. It still doesn't feel totally real to me, and I'm not someone who is completely comfortable talking about feelings but I know that it helps for everyone to see these kinds of stories and it's not difficult at all for me to say that he was a great person who I'll miss seeing around. There is not a single negative thing that I could say about him, and that's so unique. I feel like I have so much more to say, but I'm just going to leave it at that.

I'm surprised that Vance didn't become a famous comedian, he was such a funny guy, a personality full of great humor. I'm a very close friend of Breanna and whenever I would go over her house to hangout Vance would come in the room & quack jokes & show us hilarious YouTube videos. The last YouTube that he showed me was a video of a farting hippo haha. His laugh was very contagious, whenever he would laugh Breanna & I would automatically laugh. He definitely knew how to make someone laugh from reading all these great memories/stories from his friends & family.

Hearing Steppin Wolf's" Born to be wild" says it all about Vance to me at least, Miss the brother more and more every day. Think about the times I rode with him on the way home.. as we split off going our seperate ways.. Ride Free lil brother till we meet again

We were blessed to have Vance become apart of the Skip Fordyce family a few years ago. He made a huge impact on each of us, and our shop will truly never be the same without him. This is a photo I took of him, last summer, when he participated in the burn-out contest at one of our Bike Nights

Here's Vance hording all the ladies on prom night, haha. I had been good friends with him since I moved to Redlands my Sophmore year, and Senior year he asked me to be his prom date and I was honored to be. He showed up to my house and asked me to be his date by revving his engine on his giant Suburban until I got annoyed and went outside to see what the deal was. The apocalyptic sound coming from outside turned out to be him with a rose and "Amanda, Prom?" written on the side window. It was cheesy, original, well thought out and totally characteristic of him. I had a great time that night, and am glad to have had that experience, the corsage he gave me and many other memories to look fondly back on. I'll miss him like the rest of us, he was a true individual and a good person.

Finally lost it today after looking at all the pictures people were posting of Vance and sharing their stories about the times spent with him. I'm torn up I can't say goodbye to one of the greatest guys I've ever had the pleasure of knowing and calling one of my best friends, but I know I won't ever have to because he's always going to be here with all of us. I love you man, you'll always be missed but never forgotten.

My biggest regret is not visiting Vance after high school. How could I forget a friend that was so awesome every day? If anyone wants to hang out hit me up. Life is too short. Life is good. Lets have fun :) I'm excited for the hookah bar soon. Seeing all of my epic friends. Stay strong my friends, life is short. ? love you all.

I've lost many a friend that didn't care to live life, but to lose a true friend who strived for true life is heartbreaking. I'll always remember his crazy dances and playing hacky sack before school whenever I was there, He always was! You will truly be missed by many. Ride on man!

Aww man this just breaks my heart.! I remember him in middle school in the willy wonka play. I always remembered him as a funny outgoing guy. Praying for his family and friends it's never easy to loose someone close :/

Last time Vance and I hung out, he told me the story of how "Sexy and I Know It" became a song. He said he was just hanging out and they saw him and were instantly inspired by his sexiness. Haha, he always knew how to make me smile and laugh.

We're never really ready when a loved one leaves this would. We long to turn back time and tell them all that is in our hearts. We think, "If only I had one more day."
We catch ourselves recalling little moments that we shared a smile at every sweet "remember when" We tell our favorite stories, and we laugh, cry and sigh, and somehow we feel close to them again.
We're never really ready when it's time to say good-bye, but slowly we accept what has to be letting go of what we must but keeping those we love forever close to us in memory.

Vance always told me somethings that surprised me. He was wise beyond his own years. Once I remember telling him about some bad event in my life, he told me "Life is like being on a bike on the freeway. You can either rush it or do what I do-park aside and take a look at the scenery. You should do that" Vance was always making funny faces, I was looking through all my pictures and found the most recent picture of us. I miss him dearly, but he is in a better place... Somewhere. He was always smiling and very dashing, I miss you every day Pumpkin

To vance's family my prayers to go out to you,
I met him as a teenager he used to visit my home he was a friend to my daughter he was a friendly yet bright kid it was shocking and sadness when I heard of his passing. We wil continue. To pray for the family.
