Virginia Rangel was born January 2, 1938 in San Bernardino, CA. At the age of 19 Virginia married Alfred Rangel in 1957 after a five-year courtship. Her surviving daughters are Patty Rivas, Susan Tripodo and Jackie Strobel, grandchildren Freddie Martinez, Brianna Gonzales, Michael Tripodo and Danielle Newkirk, and great grandchildren Julianna Gonzalez, Joseph Gonzalez, Jiana Gonzalez, Freddie Martinez, Maddy Pineda, Michael Drouillard and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Virginia loved to read and was a faithful dedicated homemaker to her family. Her family was her greatest treasure and loved to help, care, and love each one. She enjoyed going out to lunch, taking small trips, shopping, keeping her home immaculate, spending time with her family and her monthly lunches with her buddies. In her later years she developed a love and comfort in reading the Bible to learn more about Jesus Christ. Her greatest joy was being home and when the whole family was together, well fed.
Our memories and love will continue. We will never forget her unconditional love and support. May the Lord bless her and keep her in His everlasting comfort and peace.
A graveside service for Virginia will be held Thursday, October 16, 2025 at 12:30 PM at Montecito Memorial Park, 3520 E Washington St, Colton, CA 92324.
Psalm 23
The Lord is my Shepherd;
I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down
in green pastures;
He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul;
He leadeth me in the paths of
righteousness for His name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the
valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil; for Thou art with me;
Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me;
Thou preparest a table before me in
the presence of mine enemies;
Thou anointest my head with oil,
my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall
follow me all the days of my life;
and I will dwell in the house of the
Lord forever.
