Vito W. Vaccaro

Vito W Vaccaro passed on to a better place March 6, 2015 with family by his side. He was born Sept. 2, 1925 in Akron, OH. He proudly served 2 years in the U.S. Navy as a radioman 3rd Class. He loved his Navy years and talked about them often. He was at reunions with fellow shipmates almost yearly at various places in the country. He moved to San Bernardino, CA shortly after his Navy days with his bride and young son, Richard where he resided for next 59 years. He worked for Rohr Industries building airplanes and retired after 20 years. He is survived by his son, Richard Vaccaro of Mission Viejo, daughters Diane Glidden and husband Steve of Waterville, ME, Mary Anne Causey of San Bernardino, granddaughters Christina Cooley who cared for him unconditionally to the end, Amber Bachman, and great granddaughter Celeste Morgan. He has a sister Kay Stair (husband Joe Stair) of Ohio along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by Mary Vaccaro his loving wife of 57 years, mom, dad, sisters and brothers. Viewing is March 18, 2015 from 4 to 8 pm and services March 19, 2015 at Montecito Memorial park and Mortuary at 10 am.
