I have very fond memories of making music with Warren at the Media Centre in Wahroonga, Australia, along with other musicians. There was also the Salt musicians at the Sydney Domain Park and travelling around to the many churches in the Sydney and Newcastle region. I especially enjoyed the times and Warren and Jan's home when Warren and I would put on the latest Ralph Carmichael record and play along with it, often playing till midnight.

My wife Jocelyn was also a friend of Warren's wife Jan, both from the same home town of Albury.
I have been a professional musician since the mid-1970s and have only just retired. I was saddened to hear of his passing, and attribute much of my early development to his encouragement and collegiality. Vale Warren.

I have the warmest possible memories of Warren. Some time after I joined the Thousand Oaks SDA Church, in late 1988, he invited me to play with him on occasion when his band was playing for worship. I would set up my entire system and tear it down again at the end of the service. Sometimes I was the piano, sometimes the strings, some times the bass. He always offered to help after he finished with his own equipment. 

Warren showed me the trick of winding a MIDI cable so it never became kinked. Warren not only did not demand that I used his chording, but sometimes asked me what chord I was using and changed his chords to match mine. He was a prince of a fellow.

Once he said, "I don't let just anyone play with my band, you know."

I particularly remember one long Sabbath afternoon hike the two of us took in the mountains behind my house. I forgot to bring water, and he shared his with me. We talked of many things and I treasure the memory.

Warren was never proud or arrogant; always open to suggestion. I once suggested to him that, in his position of CEO of the media center, he was TOO nice. He mumbled something about how he could be tough when needed, which I'm sure was true, but all I ever saw was the sunshine. 

I pray that the blessing of God will continue to flow from his life into the lives of his family and on to new generations of musicians and believers.

It makes me glad to think that when we meet again in the great convocation in heaven, he will not have to worry about setting up the audio and video, but will be able to just rejoice in singing in the choir!
