Bill was a fun loving, charismatic and most fascinating individual. Everyone loved his hugs, his great smile and his unique and boisterous laugh. He loved to relate and everyone loved to listen to the amazing tales of his life, of which there were many.
Bill was a passionate individual. He was passionate about his community. Highland was the center of the universe to Bill and nothing went on without him being involved. He was passionate about his pets. His bird lived forever and he loved his dogs, they meant everything and went everywhere with Bill. He was passionate about his many, many friends. Lifelong buds he went to school with, grew up with and spent time with. Bill was passionate about his music. He played in a couple of bands where he was the lead vocal and he knew all the lyrics to all the songs.
He was passionate about his family. His brothers, his nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. He always wanted pictures and news of their lives.
Bill graduated from San Gorgonio High School and went into the grocery business. He was quickly promoted and put in charge of many different shifts and crews. Shortly thereafter he moved to Hawaii and went into construction. In paradise he continued to enjoy life, living among his many friends and loves. Bill, however, missed Highland and all that was there. He moved back to his “castle” on Main where he picked up where he left off. Unfortunately Bill developed extreme chronic back pain. This forced his retirement but not his zest for life. We were all glad he came back to enrich our lives. He never complained and you could often see him cruising the streets of Highland on his scooter.
Bill is survived by his brother Pat of Fairfield, Conn, his brother Dan of Aliso Viejo, California, 3 nieces, 1 nephew and 7 grand nieces and nephews and a cousin.
Bill, you will be sorely missed and always remembered.
