A celebration of life service will be held at Shandin Hills Golf Club, 3380 Little Mountain Drive, in San Bernardino on Friday, January 11, 2019 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm.
Bill was born on August 16, 1940 in San Bernardino to William and LaRue Strange. He graduated from San Bernardino High School in 1958. Bill married Karen Sue Bell in 1961 and graduated from San Jose State University in 1962. Bill was employed at Framers Insurance, Allstate Insurance and City of Riverside Transportation Department. He retired in 1995.
Bill was an avid golfer and tennis player, He loved attending all of his grandchildren's sporting events. Bill loved classic cars, attending car shows like Route 66, Nascar races and airshows. He enjoyed watching car races, football, golf, tennis, and little league championship games on TV. Bill was an active member of the AA Fellowship for 38 years. Bill loved to read books about WWII history and enjoyed spending time with his family as often as possible, telling funny stories and discussing politics. Bill was very proud of all his daughters, grandkids and family.
Survivors include his two daughters Jeanne Riddle of Redlands, Ca., and Sandra Livingston and her husband Bryan, of Los Alamitos, Ca.; four grandchildren, Jessica Riddle, Katie Livingston, Will Livingston, and Allie Livingston; a step-brother Edward Harper Jr., as well as many other loved extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Karen Strange in 1973, parents Bill Strange and LaRue Harper, and step-father Edward Harper.
