Yvonne Marie Brito

With a heavy heart, our family announces the passing of our beloved daughter, Yvonne Marie Brito, affectionately known as “Bon.” She left us on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at the tender age of 34. Born on November 15, 1990, in San Bernardino, CA, Bon spent her final years in Perris, CA. She passed quietly at home surrounded by the warmth and love of her family and her best friend Candalina.

Yvonne is survived by her only daughter, Lyola Marie Torres (Lola). Her parents, Richard Brito and Romelia Gutierrez. Two brothers, Johnny and Julian (Ana), two sisters, Lizzy and Renita (Jose ), along with two bonus sisters Angelica and Norma. Yvonne has nine wonderful nephews and nieces, Robbie, Julian Jr., Annabelle, Riley, Elisa, Jade, Selina, Julie, and Valerie. Her cherished grandparents, Robert and Elizabeth Teso.

As the youngest of her siblings, Yvonne was an imaginative, spirited, and mischievous child. Beneath her playful exterior shone a vibrant and beautiful joker, gifted in the art of laughter. Yvonne’s passions included cooking healthy meals and baking delicious treats; she also had a natural green thumb. Yvonne also pursued a career in cosmetology. Yvonne enjoyed transforming the ordinary to the extraordinary in more ways than one. She found joy in highlighting the beauty in others and found joy in transforming lives through her artistry.

Above all, Yvonne’s greatest accomplishment was the love she poured into being a mother. From the moment she welcomed Lola into the world, she cherished every moment, making her daughter feel incredibly special. As a single mother, Yvonne made parenting look effortless, prioritizing precious time with Lola. Whether traveling or just enjoying quiet moments at home, she created meaningful experiences. Yvonne’s journey was filled with love, laughter, and the love of her daughter. Yvonne also treasured time with family and friends, crafting lasting memories, embarking on adventures, and savoring life’s fleeting moments.

When Yvonne received her diagnosis of osteosarcoma, she faced the challenge with courage and determination. Her mother, Rome, stood by her side every step of the way, offering unwavering support and love. Despite the trials of chemotherapy, radiation, surgery, and paralysis, her remarkable strength shone through as she refused to be defined by limitations. Her unwavering perseverance inspired countless individuals. Tragically, even as she faced a relapse, despite the hardships, Yvonne fought valiantly until the very end, inspiring those around her with her unwavering strength and smile. We will forever cherish and carry her memories in our hearts, and her spirit will remain with us, lighting our paths and guiding us through our thoughts and prayers until we reunite once more.

Although you are no longer physically present with us, we feel your very essence of life saturating every moment. The joy you brought into our lives remains a cherished tapestry of warmth and memories, woven with the magic of film. We hold onto the unwavering belief in your spirit and the incredible impact you had on everyone around you. Whether you soared to new heights or learned valuable lessons, your journey was a testament to your strength and kindness. We closed our eyes for but a moment and suddenly a woman stood where our little girl used to be. In our hearts, you will always be the remarkable woman we knew; and the little girl who filled our days with laughter and love. Your profound kindness, fierce strength, and bright intellect continue to inspire us. You were intelligent and capable of achieving anything your heart desired. We know you believed in yourself as much as we believed in you. You made us proud in so many ways. We did our best to love and protect you. It was our privilege to care for you until the moment we had to pass you onto your new life, in God's hands, surrounded by his angels. We are forever grateful for the privilege of calling you our daughter. Our love for you is eternal and knows no bounds. We promise to love you and keep your memory alive for the rest of our days.
