Al taught me so much when I worked for him at Ohmeda Medical.  After he left Ohmeda, we still talked.  He and his wonderful wife would send me a Christmas gift and a Christmas card.  I loved Al's laugh and he was so knowledgeable.  I know I'm late in responding to his departure.  I took the news hard, but felt I just had to say something.

I thank his family for sharing their beloved husband, father, grandfather with many people.  Al was a good man and I know he's smiling at all of us.

Stay strong in God's love and be blessed.  I love you all.

I was fortunate to know Al while working at Ohmeda Medical.  May God keep all of those who are missing him in his graces.

When our son, Alan, married Sylvia, he brought a wonderful young woman into our family.  We got along so well with her parents, Al and Sol, that we came to consider them as part of our family as well.  We didn't see as much of them as we would have liked, since we live in New Mexico.  But every time we went East, they hosted us in such a lovely way.  Sol would prepare the most delicious meals for us and while she attended to last-minute details, Al would entertain us in the living room.  We came to love this very  thoughtful, smart, kind and caring man with his quiet gentle ways.  To say that he will be missed is truly an understatement.  It is heartbreaking to know of the sadness in the hearts of Sol and Sylvia who loved him beyond measure.

I will remember Al as a totally genuine person: one who loved good wine and food, was proud of his family, and seemed always to be a rock of calm and quiet.  He had a fine sense of irony and an easy wit.  He was gracious to a fault with old-world manners that have sadly faded away in our hurried world.

He will leave a big hole in the lives of those who knew him.

He was a wonderful mentor to me as I was just starting out in the engineering world. Always patient and encouraging, Al helped to make me who I am today. His words of wisdom, stories, and friendship will never be forgotten. I am honored to have worked for him and to be able To have called him  my friend.

He was a wonderful mentor and father figure to me in the few years I worked for him at Ohmeda. I will always remember the compassion and patience he showed me. After I left he continued to be my friend. He always had words that comforted me. I will truely miss him. My condolences to his family on their loss. He was a wonderful man. I will remember his stories fondly.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I never had the pleasure of meeting Sylvia's father, but based on the smart and caring daughter he raised, I'm sure I would have liked him very much and I know he will be very much missed.
