Allen Robert Furey Sr.

Allen Robert Furey Sr., a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle, peacefully transitioned from this life on Friday, August 19, 2023. He was surrounded by the love of his family. Born on November 4, 1940, in Boston, Massachusetts and raised in Roxbury, Allen was the cherished child of the late Earnest Furey and Melissa Mills Furey. He was lovingly raised by James Edward Guilford Sr. and Nannie BelleHaskin Guilford (Nancy) of Boston.

Allen's life was marked by his dedication to his loved ones and his many accomplishments. He is now reunited with his eldest son, Marcellus Anthony Furey, who preceded him in death. Allen leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and strength. He is survived by his devoted wife of 51 years, Dr. Sandra Lee Houston Furey, his son Allen Robert Furey II, and his sister Marcella Furey.

There will be a viewing on Saturday, August 26, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by

a funeral service for Allen from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Witzke Funeral Homes Inc., 5555 Twin Knolls Road, Columbia, MD 21045.
