

Arlene Patrice “Patti” Duffy, 61, of Columbia, MD passed away on Wednesday, May 28th, 2014 at Harmony Hall Assisted Living Facility from complications of diabetes. She was born July 1, 1952 in Washington, D.C. to the late Margaret Arlene and William Royall Duffy. Patti graduated from Robert E. Peary High School in 1970 and attended Montgomery College in Rockville. She went on to work with students at the Texas and Colorado Schools for the Deaf, and later worked for Vitro Corporation in Rockville.
Patti was a devout Christian and longtime member of the Columbia Church of Christ. She was kind and caring, with a heart for children, animals, and helping others. She enjoyed dancing, reading, teaching sign language, listening to jazz music and spending time with her friends and family.
Patti is survived by her siblings, Sherrie Clark and husband Steven of Johnsville; Daniel Duffy of Rockville; and Dayle Cavaliere and husband Michael of Mt. Airy. She is also survived by five nieces and nephews, four great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.
A celebration of Patti's life will be held this Saturday, June 7th, 2014, at 10:30am at the Westside Church of Christ, 7009 Johnnycake Road, Baltimore MD 21244.
