

Arthur (Art) William Lazarowitz passed away in his home in Columbia Maryland on Monday March 1, 2021 at the age of 87 years. Arthur is predeceased by his mother and father, Lena and Leo Lazarowitz, many cousins and his beloved fiancée, Denise (Teddy) Rogers, his soulmate.
Arthur is survived by his two daughters, Esther R. Lazarowitz and Evelyn H. Adams along with his ex-wife Sonja M. Lazarowitz. He is also survived by his two sisters, Lucy Biem
(Howie) and Linda Lazarowitz, and brother Harvey A. Lazar (Marilyn J. Krelle) along with two daughters, Julie and Jean.
Arthur was born in New York City on July 29th, 1933. After high school, he served four years in the U.S. Navy as a Sonarman during the Korean War. He then went on to earn a Teaching Degree from Albany State University and taught History and Political Science until he decided to pursue a Law degree from Buffalo State University. After moving to Washington, D.C. and briefly working for the I.R.S, he found his dream job with The Dept. of Interior/Fish and Wildlife Service. After he retired from the Government, he was inspired by his love, Teddy Rogers, to pursue further education in the field of Acupuncture and found that helping people heal physically and spiritually was his calling. He spent many years traveling to Hawaii to further his own spiritual growth and healing abilities.
Arthur was an avid tennis player, swimmer, N.Y. sports fan and enjoyed long walks in nature. For his love or community, he was a prominent patron of David’s Natural Market in Columbia, Maryland where he communed with friends and acquaintances, sharing his time and offering healings to all those in need.
His greatest wish was for Unity and World Peace.
Family will receive friends at Witzke Funeral Homes, Inc, 5555 Twin Knolls Rd, Columbia, MD 21045 on Sunday, March 14, 2021 from 11am to 1pm, where Memorial Services in his honor will begin at 1pm.
