Betsy Mincher Sasser

Betsy Mincher Sasser was born on July 19, 1930 in Rocky Mount NC. She was 95 yrs old at the time of her death on May 30, 2026. She met the love of her life, John M Sasser, when they were both 15 yrs old. They got married at 18 yrs old & were married for 72 yrs old upon John's death.

Betsy will be remembered for her many talents.

Singing especially in her beloved Southern Baptist Church.

Gardening - flower beds & vegetables - & cooking amazing dinners from scratch every night.

Travel - Betsy & John traveled to all 50 states & extensively abroad. Her favorite state was Arizona & her favorite country was Austria.

Sewing - Betsy hand made everything for her family. From comforters to pajamas - bathing suits to prom dresses/wedding gowns.

Volunteer work - Betsy volunteered at the Christian Women's Thrift shop, food pantry & both she & John served & delivered Christmas dinner at their church.

Betsy will mostly be remembered for her kind, generous & loving heart for her family & community.

Betsy is survived by 4 children, 7 grandchildren & 4 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
