Lindsay, Bruce Douglas “Doug”, 81, went to be with the Lord at 5:08 pm, Wednesday, April 14, 2021 with his loving Daughter and Son-in-law at his side. He was born in McConnelsville, Ohio, on December 31, 1939 to Charles LeRoy Lindsay and June (Clemens) Lindsay. Doug was united in marriage with Kathleen “Kathi” Lindsay on December 22, 2009 in Albuquerque, NM. She proceeded him in death on July 1, 2020.
He graduated Tucson High School and went on to the University of Arizona. He was a draftsman for many years in Albuquerque and Denver. He moved back to Tucson then eventually to Albuquerque, where he loved being a docent at the National Museum of Nuclear Science & History and at Casa San Ysidro. He had a love for education and learning as much as he possibly could about numerous topics such as the Wild West, US military, airplanes, the Native American culture, and photography. He also was a dedicated servant to the Lord, volunteering at Sagebrush church in Albuquerque. Serving the Lord was a highlight of his life, which he was always happy to share with all others around him.
He was survived by his sister Margaret Rose, children, Brian Lhotka, Nicholas “Nick” Lindsay, Krista Harlan, his grandchildren Aidan, Eleanor, Everett, and Garrett Harlan, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, brothers Thomas and Craig Lindsay.
In accordance with his wishes, he will be cremated. Celebration of Life services will be held at Saguaro National Park in Tucson, Arizona in June.
Daddio, this is not goodbye, but we will see you later. We love you and miss you loads!
