I was deeply saddened to hear about Carmen's passing.  She will always be fondly remembered through the many wonderful stories I'm sure you'll share. My deepest sympathy is with you and your family at this sad and difficult time.

Your death was a real shock for me. I will miss you always and I'm sleeping under the beautiful quilt that you made for me. I love you and you will always rest in memory in my heart. Good bye my sweet Queen and Cousin.

Richard:
              We are so very sorry to hear of Carmen's passing.
  
              We are sure it will be hard on both of your families, as well as her many friends.
  
              We are, however, glad that both of you had been able to spend the last 25 years together.
   
              You have been good help mates and soul mates for one another.
  
              We are also glad that, in spite of her maladies, she had many friends and social groups with whom she shared many different activities.
  
              She also had the good fortune to have a loving family with whom she shared many things.
  
              We wish you and her family the happiness and prosperity that she would want for both of you, even in her absence.
  
              Such times are hard, but inescapable for all of us.
  
              We know that the "Unity of Being" will hold us together, even through the most difficult of times, as well as through all of life's pleasures.

What are the words to describe the influence Carmen had on our lives. A relationship that started over 35 years ago as fellow employees soon came to the point where she was a regular member of our family. We stayed in touch through the years and when we last met she left us one of her gorgeous quilts. It is now the centerpiece of our household and a daily reminder of the wonder that was Carmen. Over the span of 35 plus years I have had the pleasure of knowing many of the great Turpin women....Rachel, Jean, Grandma White and my sweet sweet friend Connie.  There have been times when we would call each other every day ~ just to share a giggle, to 'check-in', to offer advice or just to have that special shoulder to lean on..There are no words to express the heaviness in my heart ~ for I shall miss you my friend.

Richard, Jackie, Lisa, Jasmine, and grandkids, Connie was more like a sister than a cousin as we all grew up in the same household and had so many wonderful memories that really tied us together as brother and sister. She will be missed but is in a beautiful place with all of the family that has preceded her. Her suffering has come to an end.
Really regret that Jeannette and I could not be there to comfort you but we're with you in prayers, thoughts, and spirit.
