

On January 31, 2025, CAROL A. SPRINGER (nee O’Keefe) of Baltimore, Maryland passed away peacefully, at age 77. Beloved wife of fifty-seven years to William A. Springer, Jr.; devoted mother of Troy W. Springer and his wife Melissa; dear sister of Mary T. Armiger and her husband L. Earl Armiger; adoring grandmother of Mikayla, Mikenzie and Tyler Springer; and, loving aunt to Karen Steed, Scott Armiger, and Joelle Genevish; and, loving great aunt to Kayleigh Fagan, Jessica and Christopher Bauer, and Brooke, Sean and Grace Armiger.
Carol was the daughter of the late Myrtle M. and John J. O’Keefe. She graduated from Catholic High School in Baltimore, earned her associate’s degree, and dedicated thirty-eight years of outstanding public service working for the Social Security Administration in Woodlawn, Maryland, where she retired in a supervisory role. Carol never knew a stranger because once you met her, you were her friend. She lived a vibrant life filled with love, joy, kindness, and a strong commitment to family, selflessly devoting herself to her loving husband, Bill, and doting on her three grandchildren, whom she cherished.
Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Carol’s life on February 11, 2025, from 1pm to 4pm, at the Amherst House, 7251 Eden Brook Drive, Columbia, MD 21046. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory and honor can be made to the Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center – Behavioral Heath Unit, 5755 Cedar Lane, Columbia, MD 21044.
