

"It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Charles Christopher Craddock. Charles was born February 18, 1983 in Kaufman, Texas. He passed away peacefully on July 13, 2026 in Columbia, MD surrounded by his loved ones. He battled Stage IV pancreatic cancer. He confronted this battle like a warrior with unwavering courage and endurance until the very end.
Charles honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps and later continued his lifelong commitment to public service through his work as a federal employee. Whether enjoying the arts or working with numbers, Charles had a deep appreciation for acting, movies, music, and accounting.
Charles was a man of genuine kindness, selflessness, and unwavering integrity. He embodied these values every day as a devoted husband, loving father, cherished son, loyal friend, and respected colleague. Whether through a timely joke or an act of quiet charity, he lived to serve others without ever asking for recognition.
Charles was a devoted husband who cherished his wife, Grace, with unwavering love and affection. As a devoted papa to his daughter, Dulcinea, he left her with a legacy of laughter through his humor and a lifetime of wisdom through his heartfelt advice. He built a beautiful life for his family, filling it with love, stability, and cherished memories over the years.
Charles leaves behind many who loved him and will miss him dearly. Surviving Charles are his loving wife, Grace Gomez, their daughter, Dulcinea Estelle Gomez, his mother, Tresa Rhoades, his Grandmother, Bertha Rhoades, his aunts, Debbie and Pam, Uncle Dusty, Cousin Jackie, who was like a sister, and a host of other family and friends whom he loved."
Visitation will be held at Witzke Funeral Homes Inc., 5555 Twin Knolls Road, Columbia, MD 21045, on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, followed by a Celebration of Life at Witzke Funeral Homes Inc., 5555 Twin Knolls Road, Columbia, MD 21045, on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 1:00 pm. Interment will occur at Crownsville Veterans Cemetery on Monday, August 3, 2026 at 1:45 pm.
