Surrounded by his family, Durvis Allen Roberts, 80, of Columbia, Maryland, passed on September 3, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Allen Roberts and Aline Murray, and his brother, Marlin Dale Roberts. Survivors include his wife, Dolores, daughters, Jennifer, Jannica, Jillian, and granddaughters, Rogue and Quinn.
Durvis liked traveling and cruising. He explored Canada, Europe, South America and especially Ireland. He was an avid listener to traditional Irish music. As soccer player and fan, Durvis coached many neighborhood teams in SAC for over 40 years. He was inducted into the Howard County Parks and Rec Sports Hall of Fame.
Durvis was a kind and jovial soul who was greatly loved and will be greatly missed. A Gathering in Remembrance will be held at the United Methodist Church of Savage, Maryland, 9050 Baltimore Street. Savage, MD 20763 on October 12, 2024 at 2:00 pm.
