I just now was surprised to read of the passing of Frank Chase, who graduated one year ahead of me from Exeter High School in New Hampshire. He was a student-athlete in high school and I remember that he played first base on the baseball team and also, I think, guard on the basketball team. We reconnected in Howard County here several years ago through activities in politics and lobbying at the state legislature. It would be hard to beat his dedication to lobbying on the health care issue, I could count on running into him almost every time I went to the state house complex in Annapolis for some reason or other. I will definitely miss him and send Carole my best wishes.

Carole, we weren't at the service today as we are in Mexico. But we were talking about Frank and his enthusiasm for issues that also represent our values. We send our sincerest sympathies to you and your family. Best, Margot and Paul Zimmerman

Carole,
We were very sad when word of Frank's passing reached us here in Florida. We wish that we could be there in person to express our condolences to you and your family, but we will keep you in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Frank was one of our "best Democratic Party friends", and future Party events just won't be the same without him.

I am so sorry to learn of Frank's passing. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Frank over many many years. He was a dedicated public servant and I will miss him.

In there's anyone who paid his dues, it was Frank . . . Simply, a remarkable, sensitive and compassionate man, one of the greatest that Dartmouth College has ever produced. No one appreciate Frank more than my family, for Frank held a deep and continuing interest in my daughter, who also attended Dartmouth. . . . . . Sherman Howell, Columbia, MD.

I only had the privelege of meeting Frank a couple of times. I know that he was a tremendous man and loved by many. His love, integrity, honesty, generosity and humor will live on in you, Amy, and in Gracie. I am so deeply sorry for your loss. He will be with you in spirit, always. My deepest condolences to your Mom, as well. Know that you are all loved and that God holds Frank in the palm of his hand now, where he is at peace. My prayers are with you and your extended family. With love and affection, Leilani McGrath

Frank was a consistently optimistic person, cheering all around him. He was not downtrodden by any negative event. He saw it as an opportunity for involvement, to change it to a positive event.
