Frederick Chung

February 22, 1941 - September 2, 2025

Frederick Man Chung, 84, of Ellicott City, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2025. Born in Seoul, South Korea, Frederick immigrated to America in 1974 to build a life for him, his wife, Ok, and their two children, Michael and James. Their youngest child, Gloria, was born three years later.

Frederick was an entrepreneur, owning and operating various businesses in the Baltimore area until his retirement in the early 2010’s. He was an avid golfer and was known for his generous spirit, infectious sense of humor, and his ability to make everyone feel welcomed. Frederick is survived by Ok, his 3 children, and his 4 grandchildren: Ashley, Morgan, Nicholas, and Nathan.

A celebration of Frederick’s life will be held on September 9, 2025, at 6:00 PM at Bethel Korean Presbyterian Church, 3165 St. Johns Lane, Ellicott City. The burial will take place on Wednesday, September 10th at 11:30 AM at Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 2150 Mt. View Road, Marriottsville.
