Guille was a special person. So full of life!  He made me feel being alive like no one else.  To connect with him caused me to feel overwhelmingly special, adventurous and scared at various times. But never did I feel blaze with him. I have never met anyone at all like him in my decades of life. He was amazingly unique and wonderful person.   I will never forget him.  Thank you Guillermo. T

Still speechless of this heartbreaking news. What a great man Guille was. I had seen him only a couple of times but remember his smile and warm personality. He would hug you, ask how you are doing and start a conversation right away. Usually a funny one! For someone like me that lacks that talent I was always amazed by how easily he could start a conversation. He had a heart of gold. He will truly be missed. So grateful to have known him. I was so saddened when Mike informed me Guille had passed.  Seems impossible given my memory of a man so full of life that positively impacted so many people.  I always cherished our time together on Truman Place, a period when our young kids led to a lot of late night patio time together so we were all within earshot of home.  I think the last time we actually saw each each other was when I made a surprise stop in Oberlin 15 years ago after not seeing each other for another 15 years before that, and it seemed like no time had passed between us.  In any case, you and your family have my deepest sympathy,  and I’ll never forget Guille.

Nora,  I just heard about this. Please accept my sincere condolences.

Words fail me - to try and describe the brilliant star that was Guille, or how fortunate I am to have been included within his orbit.  Others have commented on his warmth, and in my observations it was a genuine quality of the man.  You and he, Nora, both were always very gracious which I love, and Guille was rightfully proud of his children and what they were doing, though he may never have said it that simply.  He is and will be missed also by so many of us out here.

Guille had an intensity and passion for what he tackled unmatched by most.  When the whole family moved from the Cleveland area, too soon many years ago, Guille left with me a folder of just the few most significant publications from his time at NASA.   The folder is about two inches *thick*, and does not even include the book.  He was amazing.

Back then, while on his way to the office building front steps, he would stop by my desk and tell me (a non-smoker) that I needed a “smoke break” - any weather - and a number of cigarettes later we would still be discussing ideas - he was generous with his time and contagious enthusiasm.  His Beatles mania was contagious as well, made only more compelling by his own incredible musical talent.

And I have already gone on too long about someone you knew better than I do.  Please hang onto your own favorite memories and know that you are in our thoughts and prayers - and that we are all better for having known Guille, even just a little bit.

We are heartbroken to hear of Guille's sudden passing. He was so full of life and love. We knew him for many years both as a neighbor and a friend. My daughter Natalie went to daycare with Julian. What a shock it has been this week to learn about Guille's passing. I have been thinking of each of you, and I wish distance (and a pandemic) didn't make it  impossible to come together. That is what we need most with loss. Shared memories, tears, and laughter-- all, of course, with a Beatles soundtrack.

I have to say, out of this sadness so many wonderful memories of your dad and family have arisen in the past few days. I feel blessed to have had a Bozzolo-filled childhood. Your family was a second family- and your dad a second dad- for me and Rachel. The Bozzolo magic, led by Guille with his radiant smile, goofiness, and love, made those endless summers feel so special and bright. The Beech Street house, the rides to Pioneer Theater, Nora's milanesa, and of course Guille with his passion and humor, taking the time to make even my little self feel special. He humored us, believed in us, even recorded the first (and only) Horizons hit.

I send you love and tears, and am comforted knowing you can be with each other. When the state of the world settles, we will come together and remember (all to the soundtrack of Abbey Road).

Guille was a special man to so many people.  I can’t begin to have enough gratitude for the time he took encouraging me and my education.  He gave me advice that I use every time I give a presentation.  He also taught me how the world of physics can describe everyday human interactions – Guille was incredibly smart in so many ways.

Last, but not least, he also fostered my love for cable network shows (I’m so glad he had every episode of “Oz” on VHS for me to watch).

It’s a devastating loss for all those who loved him.  Your husband/dad will not go forgotten.  The truly sad part is not having more time with him.

A todos los miembros del CIOp:
en el día de hoy nos hemos enterado con mucha conmoción y dolor del inesperado fallecimiento de nuestro amigo y colega Guillermo Bozzolo. 
Seguramente muchos no lo conocen, pero fue compañero de estudio de toda la carrera de los primeros becarios del CIOp: Roberto, Lucy, Marcelo, Mayo, Nora (su esposa), Rubén Mazzei y yo.
En el año 1983 emigraron a Estados Unidos con sus tres primeros hijos. Trabajaron en distintos colleges hasta conseguir un puesto permanente en NASA. 
A pesar de la distancia, Guillermo y Nora se mantuvieron en contacto con sus amigos del CIOp. Todos recordamos el carácter alegre y jovial de Guillermo, y así queremos tenerlo en nuestro corazón.
Desde el CIOp queremos estar junto a Nora y su familia en este momento tan duro y enviarle nuestras condolencias y un fuerte y cálido abrazo.

It is so hard to think he is gone.

I had the honor to meet Guille, the brilliant mind, awesome friend, father to my friend. When Natalia and I first met, she was far away from her family, Natis would tell countless stories about her siblings, her mom and dad, and her first nephew. I could tell she was missing them dearly.  Guille was often the main character of her fond recollections, I learned a lot about this intelligent physicist, devoted husband, and more than an awesome father, a true friend to his four children.

I am grateful I had plenty of opportunities to spend time with the Bozzolo’s witnessing the strong bond between them and how love in its purest form, solidified the foundations of the family Guille was so proud of.

Kind beyond measure, generous, smart and absolutely in love with his loved ones.  He would always greet you with a beaming smile, a warm hug, and a conversation starter… about any subject. One could start with a question about the weather and end up having the most transcendental, uplifting talk with Guille.

His memory will always be in the heart of your beautiful family.

We are so sorry. Working with Guille and knowing him was a delight. I still remember the first time he visited me to see about working at NASA . His intelligence and personality convinced me that we had to have him. Our collaboration produced a wealth of  new scientific results. I just received an email from a summer student who worked with us 25 years ago  telling  me about some new exciting results based on our work.  Verna and I are greatly saddened by the news and hope that his family are bearing up well and remembering the happier times with him.

It's been a long time since I've seen Guille, but the last meeting was a pleasant experience like all the other times. Your family invited me to a gathering at a park somewhere in the DC area to celebrate ... JB's marriage? Or was it Nati's? I can't remember whose it was, but I remember the white picnic blanket that was hanging up and which had ketchup spilled all over it. The joke was that it was the bedding from their wedding night. Hilarious! I also remember on that day how Guille sat down with me, asked me how things are going, and we had a great, long chat. It was easy to have such chats with him. His warmth, friendliness, and humor made it easy.
