Harold Dorfman, 89, of Silver Spring, MD, passed away on May 2, 2019. He was predeceased by Jeanne, his loving wife of over 60 years, his parents Rose and Morris, and his siblings Samuel, David, Miriam and Shirley. Harold is survived by his children Wayne, Robin (Mark) Biggins, Mona (Bob) Shields, and Mason; his grandchildren Jessica, Michael, Elizabeth, Christopher, Jennifer, Patrick, Sara and Randy; and his great grandchild Hunter.
Harold lived in Adelphi, Maryland, for over 60 years. He served in the Army 1951-53, married Jeanne in 1953, graduated from Capital Radio Engineering Institute in 1955, owned Adelphi TV for many years, and then repaired arcade games before working for the Prince George’s County School System installing alarms and sound systems. He retired at the age of 80 and moved to Riderwood in Silver Spring, Maryland, in 2014.
Harold enjoyed doing home improvements, drafting designs, and creating a home where family and friends could be together and have fun. In his later years, he always loved visits from his kids, grandkids and especially his great grandchild Hunter.
